About the Authors Dr. Indrajit Roy Chowdhury, born in 1984, Kolkata, West Bengal, obtained his Higher secondary from Garfa D.N.M. High school, Kolkata in 2002, Completed his graduation from Asutosh College, Kolkata, 2005, M.Sc. in Geography, 2007 and Ph.D. in Geography from University of Calcutta, 2015. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography& Applied Geography, University of North Bengal (Accredited by NAAC with Grade A), Raja Rammohunpur, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. Earlier he taught as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Subarnarekha Mahavidyalaya, West Midnapore, West Bengal. Dr. Roy Chowdhury also thought as a Guest Lecturer in the Department of Geography, Jadavpur University. He is specialised in Urban Geography, Regional Planning, Transport Geography, Environmental Geography, GIS and Remote Sensing. He has already been published 23 research articles in leading National and International level peer reviewed journals and 28 book chapters in the several edited volumes published by reputed National and International level publishers. Recently Dr. Indrajit Roy Chowdhury has edited one book entitled on 'Contemporary Regional Problems in India: Issues and Challenges' published by national level reputed publisher. He has presented over 53 seminar papers in national and international seminar and conferences, India and abroad. Dr. Roy Chowdhury is a Life Fellow member of National Association of Geographers of India (NAGI), Deccan Geographical Society and Institute of Landscape Ecology and Ekistics, Kolkata.
