| About the Authors | Manjari Sarkar (Basu), M.A., Ph.D, Associate Professor and Head in Geography, Kandra R. K.K. Mahavidyalaya, affiliated to The University of Burdwan. She was awarded Doctoral degree in the year 1998 from the university of Burdwan .She has been teaching and having research experiences of 29 years at different colleges under the University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India. Dr. Sarkar (Basu), has published three books and more than 30 research paper in International and National level journal and also presented paper near about 45. She Achieved 2nd position in Young Scientist Award in the year 2006. She has completed four major and minor research project funded by UGC, and ICSSR. Her interest of research is mainly confined with terrain evaluation, waste land management, microfinance and social science. She was invited in Fourth Global conference on Economic Geography 2015, at the University of Oxford, U.K. , Second International conference on Asian studies 2014, held in Colombo, Srilanka, and Universal Academic Cluster International Conference in Bangkok in 2017. She achieved International Kahinoor Award in the July 2018 and Vidya Ratan Award in the April 2018. Dr. Sarkar (Basu) is associated with various academic bodies as an examiner, board member, administrator, and resource person and subject expert of Geography & Environment in different colleges, universities and institution. She was the convener of U.G.C. sponsored National level seminar in December 2015 and convener of International level webinar in July, 2020. She is the Assistant Editor of Practising Geographer and editor of Golden Geographer.
