This book compiles twenty-one review research papers by young higher education teaching personels, offering a comprehensive, interdisciplinary analysis of cybercrime in India, with a special focus on North East India and vulnerable populations. It explores how cyber threats such as cyberbullying, identity theft, and online sexual exploitation disproportionately impact individuals based on gender, age, and location. Emphasizing the gendered dimensions of digital harm, especially toward women, the book critiques existing legal mechanisms and advocates for gender-sensitive reforms. It also highlights the increasing cyber risks faced by children, calling for stronger digital literacy and educational initiatives. Unique regional challenges in North East India, including poor infrastructure, limited awareness, and weak enforcement, are examined through case studies from Imphal West and nearby areas. Community-led efforts by groups like North East Network and Defy are presented as effective grassroots solutions. Additionally, the book addresses cybersecurity threats in tech innovation and urban settings, proposing a hybrid approach of legal reform, education, and multi-stakeholder collaboration for safer digital spaces.
