About the Authors Dr. Indrajit Roy Chowdhury, born in 1984, Kolkata, West Bengal, obtained his Higher secondary from Garfa D.N.M. High school, Kolkata in 2002, Graduation in Geography Honours from Asutosh College, Kolkata, 2005, M.Sc. in Geography in 2007 and Ph.D. Degree in Geography from University of Calcutta in 2015. Presently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography& Applied Geography, University of North Bengal, Darjeeling, West Bengal. Earlier he taught as an Assistant Professor in Geography at Subarnarekha Mahavidyalaya, West Midnapore, West Bengal , as a Contractual Whole Time Lecturer in Prabhu Jagat Bandhu College, Guest Lecturer in the Department of Geography, Jadavpur University, Jogamaya Devi College, Kolkata, Heramba Chandra College and Shyamaprasad College, Kolkata. He also taught as a Lecturer in Jagadish Chandra Basu SikshakSikshan Mahavidyalaya, Kolkata and Jotirmoy College of Education, Sonarpur, West Bengal. He specialised in Urban Geography, Regional Planning,Transport Geography, Environmental Geography, GIS and Remote Sensing in Geography. He has already been published 25 research papers in the leading National and International level geographical journals and edited books. He has presented over 40 seminar papers in National and International Seminar and Conferences, India and Abroad. Dr. Roy Chowdhury is a Life Fellow member of National Association of Geographersof India (NAGI), Deccan Geographical Society and Institute of Landscape, Ecology and Ekistics, Kolkata.
