This Book is an anthology of research papers which focusses exclusively on addressing real-world challenges, for sustainable development, and economic inequality, which require inter-disciplinary approaches combining life science, physical science, chemical science, AI and Data Sciences and engineering, to develop solutions for sustainable energy for a resilient environment in the world. These research papers were presented in the International Conference organized by the Department of Botany, Patna Women's College (Autonomous) Patna University, in collaboration with The Indian Science Congress Association, Patna Chapter on the topic "Bridging Disciplines for Resilience and Sustainability: A Pathway to Viksit Bharat" in December, 2025.

| About the Authors | Dr. Urvashi Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Patna Women's College (Autonomous), Patna University, Patna. A Doctorate in Botany has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience in the field of phytochemistry, phytopathology and microbiology. She has published more than 20 research papers in International and National Journals of repute. She has guided more than 22 research projects at undergraduate level under the different schemes of UGC. She is a member of IQAC working committee for NAAC Accreditation and Preparation. Dr. Sinha has been awarded PWC EXCELLENCE award for the year 2024 for Enterprising Initiatives and dedication to services. She also has 1 design Patent to her credit. Dr. Anjana Verma is an Assistant Professor at Patna Women's College, Autonomous, Patna University, in the Department of Botany. She holds a Ph D and M Sc and BET, with specialization in Biotechnology. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has worked at UGC Centre of Vocational Education, BN College, PU, Patna. Her research interest includes extraction and estimation of phytochemicals from Medicinal plants, Cytogenetic experiments, Microbial technique and Plant tissue culture techniques. Dr. Verma has published papers in international journals and presented at various Conferences including ICETMR 2023, ICRM 2022 and ICEIL 2022. Dr. Pinky Prasad has more than 23 years of rich teaching experience and has been heading the Department of Botany at Patna Women's College (Autonomous), Patna University, since 2016. She successfully completed a major research project under the DST Women Scientist Scheme and received the "Institutional Researcher of the Year" award (2014-2015). She is the Managing Editor of IRIS - Journal for Young Scientists (Print ISSN 2278-618X; Online ISSN 2278-6384), a peer-reviewed in-house journal. Dr. Prasad co-edited New Horizons of Biological Sciences: Advantages and Challenges (2020) and has published widely in International and National Journals. She has guided over 35 undergraduate research projects and convened several national and international seminars. |
