A Comprehensive Economic Geography

Rev. Dr. Amit Amar Soren has been a product of the prestigious Institutes of Jharkhand. He had his schooling from St. Xavier's School, Hazaribag and Sainik School, Tilaiya. He graduated from one of the premier colleges of Vinoba Bhave University; the St. Columba's College, Hazaribag and completed his Post graduation from PG Department of Geography, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag. He qualified NET in the year 2006 and joined the St. Columba's College, Hazaribag in the year 2009 as Assistant Professor, Department of Geography. Presently he is the Head of the Department of Geography of the same college, Nodal Officer of PM-USHA, Bursar-II, Athletic President of Sports Control Board, President of Tribal Society, Joint Coordinator of NAAC Steering Committee, Resource Person of BCA Department and Member of alteast fifteen Committees of the college. He has done his Doctorate on the research topic Prospects and Problems of Tourism in Jharkhand. He is the lifetime member of The Association of Geographers Bihar & Jharkhand (AGBJ), National Association of Geographers, India (NAGI), HOXA, SANTOBA and YMCA. He has been a perpetual resource person at Ranchi Women's College, Ranchi, IGSS, World Vision, Akashwani Hazaribag and DCYM. In his academic career he has a credit of a number of papers and articles in his name at various National and International Seminars, Conferences and Journals and bagged Best Article Award in International Seminar on Sustainable Development held at Nirmala College, Ranchi. He has many laurels in his name, to mention few- Corona Warrior by the Govt. of Jharkhand, Hazaribag Ratan by Prabhat Khabar, Real Hero and Emergency Response Donor by Shrinivas Blood Bank and many more. He is also the Director of St. Columba's Mission Hospital, Hazaribag and was awarded from Jharkhand Rajya Alpsankhayak Aayog, Ranchi (Jharkhand Government) for the contribution in the field of Health Sector in Hazaribag region  on 23rd September, 2024.

He took to writing as a passion to share his knowledge of Geography to the young and aspiring students of the same field to help them with the basics to score good marks, qualify different competitive exams and do research works. Rev. Dr. Amit Amar Soren has been a keen observer of geographical aspects occurring around the physical and cultural environment. He has been very much involved in collecting geographical knowledge and experiences which can be seen in the book through travelling and educational tours to almost all part of the country.
