Remote Sensing in Land Evaluation

During the last two decades, there has been much emphasis in evaluation of land resources for meeting the growing needs and requirements of society.Aerial photographs and satellite images provide excellent tools and photo image interpretation vital technique for assessment of accurate and upto date status of resources. \nIn this book systematic photo-interpretation has been made to classify soils of lower Nijam Sagar command, evaluate all the mapping units for its suitability for four defined land utilization type. In order to make use of limited water resources in best possible was, land irrigability classification has been done. \nIt may serve as a reference book for the scholars of Geosciences, Agriculture and allied disciplines besides a helping tool for the planners.
